Are You Using A Pillow For Back Support?


Everybody these days seems to have some sort of back problems but for some reason most people don’t do anything to fix it. If you are like most people then you will simply put a pillow behind your back when you are sitting on a hard chair or sitting on the couch watching T. V. What you need to know is that putting a pillow behind your back is not the best way giving your back the right amount of support.

If you are using a pillow for back support then stop. The reason I say stop is because the pillow is most likely not even doing anything and the reason I say this is because most of the time they don’t. Most pillows that people use are too soft to make much of a difference and if you keep this up you will think you are doing something when in reality you are not.

If you want to protect your back then you need to think about using a lumbar support roll or a lumbar support cushion. The nice thing about both of these is that they are meant to be used on your back and because of this they will provide the support that your back needs while you sit down. Don’t be like a lot of people and worry so much about spending money that you don’t even worry about your back because odds are that at some point your back is going to hurt so much that you will not have any way to make it feel better. Trust me on this one, I have seen it happen to a lot of great athletic people.

Tips On Protecting Your Back

Stand For A While – Something that I highly recommend is that you stand up for a while if you sit down quite a bit. The reason why you need to stand up for a while is because you want to elongate your spine as much as you possibly can.

Use Back Support – Like I said before, you need to use some kind of back support. I would highly recommend either getting a back brace or getting a lumbar support cushion because these are going to be your best bet on keeping your back strong and healthy.

When it comes to keeping your back safe you always want to make sure you have some way to support it. If you can’t stand up for a while then just make sure that you have some kind of lumbar support cushion there to help you out.
